Analyst/ Associate - Equity Research, US Biopharma (Large-Cap & Mid-Cap)
<div class="job-description-body__internal job__external js-job-description-body-internal"><p style="text-align: left;"><b>Job Description:</b></p><p style="text-align: inherit;"></p><p style="text-align: inherit;"></p><p>The Large/ Mid Cap Biopharma Equity Research team is seeking an Equity Research Analyst or Associate with a well-rounded pedigree in life science and finance. The role offers direct exposure to a top-three ranked Institutional Investor analyst and expanding coverage across large-cap pharma, with responsibilities spanning fundamental research, financial modeling, policy analysis, and industry-related litigation. The candidate for this position should be intellectually curious and have a deep desire to learn.</p><p></p><p>The ideal candidate possesses a life science background and experience with financial modeling in either sell-side research, life science consulting or healthcare investment banking.</p><p></p><p>He or she will work alongside the Senior Analyst and Associates in all aspects of the research process, from idea generation to modeling, including but not limited to the following:</p><ul><li>Write industry and company research reports, including earnings results, forward-looking thematic pieces, and event-driven updates</li><li>Build and maintain financial models and drug category market models</li><li>Analysis of industry macro trends and company financial results</li><li>Build relationships and facilitate information flow with contacts at covered companies</li><li>Seek out new, value-added and/or unusual sources of information</li><li>Monitor news flow and proactively flag stock-impacting developments, particularly when the Senior Analyst is traveling</li><li>Communicate the team’s investment recommendations to sales, trading and institutional investor clients</li><li>This position has a requirement of being in the office 4 days per week.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience; advanced degree in life science discipline or relevant industry-experience is a plus</li><li>Ideal candidate would have 1-4 years of experience in biopharma equity research, buy side experience or investment banking experience</li><li>Strong writing and financial modeling skills are required</li><li>Demonstrated interest in public equity markets and fundamental research</li><li>Academic background in a life science field and should understand economics, macroeconomic factors and policy</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while contributing in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment</li><li>Must have strong desire to be a team player and view team’s success as a reflection of individual success</li></ul><p style="text-align: inherit;"></p><p style="text-align: inherit;"></p><p style="text-align: left;"><b>Shift:</b></p>1st shift (United States of America)<p style="text-align: inherit;"></p><p style="text-align: inherit;"></p><p style="text-align: left;"><b>Hours Per Week: </b></p>40<p style="text-align: inherit;"></p><p style="text-align: inherit;"></p><p style="text-align: left;"><b></b></p></div>
